Mercedes-Benz AMG C43 Recall 24V371: Seat Wiring May Be Damaged, Preventing Seat Airbag Deployment

NHTSA campaign 24V371, reported May 24, 2024, 18 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain vehicles with AMG Performance seats have a seat wiring harness that may be incorrectly routed. When the seat is fully reclined, the harness can become damaged.

A damaged wiring harness can keep the airbags in the seats from deploying as intended during a crash, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should not wait to have this checked.

Dealers will inspect the wiring harness and reroute it if necessary, free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed July 12, 2024 can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 (recall number 2024060009). You can also check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
