Aurora AART18RD Recall 24V350: Furnace May Overheat Floor, Creating Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 24V350, reported May 17, 2024, 13 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain travel trailers have a furnace installed directly on top of vinyl linoleum flooring. Over time, the heat from the furnace can cause this flooring to overheat.

Overheated vinyl flooring increases the risk of a fire. Because of this hazard, the manufacturer has issued a recall for the affected units.

The repair is free. An authorized dealer will install a panel between the furnace and the linoleum. Affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory, so owners will not receive a notification letter by mail. If you own one of these trailers, you can contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-825-4995 and reference recall number 205-1778. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
