IC Bus Cesb Recall 24V341: Parking Brake May Fail or Engage Unexpectedly

NHTSA campaign 24V341, reported May 15, 2024, 91 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A rubber seal inside the Intellipark Park Valve Module (PVM) can crack and leak, which may cause the parking brake to fail or to engage on its own while the bus is being driven.

An unexpected or failed parking brake raises the risk of a crash. Owners should be especially careful with these buses, since they carry students.

Authorized IC Bus dealers will replace the Intellipark PVM at no charge. Owners can also call Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825 (recall number 24507). Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your bus is affected.
