- Forest River Bus, LLC. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Glaval Universal and Mobility Trans Safetbus transit buses, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
- Risk
- The seat back could release under the shoulder belt load, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and repair the seat, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-1774.

What this recall means for you
Certain transit buses have GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats whose recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As a result, the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210 for seat belt assembly anchorages.
If the seat back is fully reclined and the mechanism has not engaged, the seat back could release under the load of the shoulder belt during a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the occupant.
