Oliver Travel Trailers Legacy Elite II Recall 24V322: Trailer Coupler May Break and Detach From Tow Vehicle

NHTSA campaign 24V322, reported May 9, 2024, 1,304 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The towing coupler on certain trailers may be under-rated for the trailer's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). This means the coupler may not be strong enough for the load it is expected to carry.

If the coupler breaks, the trailer can detach from the tow vehicle while in motion, which increases the risk of a crash.

Authorized dealers will replace the towing coupler free of charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed June 13, 2024, can contact Oliver Travel Trailers customer service at 1-888-526-3978. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
