- Problem
- Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Atlas motorhomes. The generator may have been installed without a heat shield, which can expose the subflooring to excessive heat.
- Risk
- Flooring material exposed to heat increases the risk of fire and injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will install the heat shield above the generator, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2024. Owners may contact Airstream customer service at [email protected], 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-611 ext. 7401.

What this recall means for you
Some 2023 and 2024 Airstream Atlas motorhomes may have had their generator installed without a heat shield. Without that shield, excessive heat from the generator can reach the subflooring, and flooring material exposed to that heat raises the risk of fire and injury.
If you own an affected Atlas, the remedy is free: an authorized Airstream dealer will install a heat shield above the generator at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2024. You can also contact Airstream customer service at [email protected] or 1-877-596-6505 to confirm whether your vehicle is included. Check your VIN for open recalls as well, and schedule the repair with a dealer as soon as possible.
