Entegra Ethos Recall 24V312: Driver Seat Belt Warning May Fail, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 24V312, reported May 2, 2024, 33 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The driver seat belt warning light and audible chime may not activate as intended on these motorhomes. The vehicles therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208 for occupant crash protection.

If the warning system does not work, a driver may not be reminded to buckle up, which can lead to improper seat belt use and a higher risk of injury in a crash. Owners should not wait for the repair to make sure their own seat belt is properly fastened every time they drive.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the driver seat belt buckle and replace it if needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed June 14, 2024. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your VIN for open recalls, or contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
