Autocar Legend Recall 24V262: Hazard lights may not work with ignition off

NHTSA campaign 24V262, reported April 11, 2024, 398 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The hazard warning lights on certain 2020-2024 Autocar Legend vehicles may not operate independently of the ignition switch. This means the hazard lights may not illuminate when the ignition is in the OFF position, and the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lighting equipment.

When warning lights do not work with the ignition off, the vehicle can be less visible to other drivers, especially if it is stopped or disabled on the road. Reduced visibility increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy is a software update performed free of charge by an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed June 6, 2024. You can contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 for more information, and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
