- Problem
- Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2022-2023 DC (Legend) dump trucks. The upper hoist cylinder mounting pin may fail.
- Risk
- A pin failure can allow the hoist to fall, increasing the risk of injury. In addition, the hoist cylinder can disconnect from the vehicle, becoming a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect, repair, or replace the pin as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 24, 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is DC-2403.

What this recall means for you
The upper hoist cylinder mounting pin on certain dump trucks may fail. If the pin fails, the hoist can fall, which raises the risk of injury. The hoist cylinder can also disconnect from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.
