Winnebago Access Recall 24V247: Outlets May Lack Shock Protection, Risking Electrical Injury

NHTSA campaign 24V247, reported April 3, 2024, 94 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some travel trailers have GFCI outlets that may have been wired incorrectly, so the outlets may not provide the ground-fault protection they are supposed to. Without that protection, an electrical fault can increase the risk of electric shock or injury to people using the outlets.

If you own a trailer in this recall, the repair is free. An authorized dealer will rewire the GFCI circuitry by adding a GFCI outlet upstream of the outlets that need protection. Owner notification letters were mailed April 26, 2024. You can also contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280, extension 5220, for help. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is affected.
