Jayco Redhawk Recall 24V245: Loss of power steering and brake assist can raise crash risk

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020-2022 motorhomes may have an inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit. This can cause a sudden loss of power steering fluid.

If the fluid is lost suddenly, the vehicle can lose power steering and power brake assist, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to changes in steering or braking feel and take the vehicle to a dealer promptly if they notice any problem.

Authorized dealers will replace the power steering pressure line and the hydro boost jumper line at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2024. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your VIN for open recalls, or contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267.
