What this recall means for you
On certain portable generator trailers, the electric brake harness is wired to the battery disconnect switch instead of the positive distribution lug of the battery. As a result, the brakes lose power whenever the battery disconnect switch is in the off position, so they will not engage when needed.
Brakes that do not engage increase the risk of a crash. Owners are instructed to stop towing the affected trailer immediately until the repair has been completed.
An authorized dealer will correct the wiring at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 3, 2024. For questions, contact Doosan customer service at 1-800-633-5206 and reference recall number 12-23-8. This recall expands Doosan recall 23V-859, so check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
