What this recall means for you
A poor electrical connection can cause the rearview camera to intermittently display a blank or distorted image. The vehicle therefore does not meet federal rear visibility requirements.
When the camera image goes blank or distorted, the driver has a reduced view of what is behind the vehicle, which raises the risk of a backover crash.
Authorized Ford dealers will replace the rearview camera free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed April 4, 2024 can also contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 20C19. Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls to confirm whether it is affected.
