What this recall means for you
On certain 2025 International LT trucks, two wires in the taillight jumper harness may be reversed. As a result, the turn signal can activate in the opposite direction from the one the driver intended. The vehicle therefore does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
Turn signals that do not work as expected can confuse other drivers about where you are going, which raises the risk of a crash. If you own an affected truck, watch for signals that seem to point the wrong way and be extra cautious when changing lanes or turning near other traffic.
The repair is free. Dealers will replace the taillight jumper harness at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2024. You can contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825 (Navistar recall number 24506), and you can check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
