Faraday Future FF-91 Alliance Recall 24V173: Airbag Warning Light May Stay Off During a Fault

NHTSA campaign 24V173, reported March 1, 2024, 11 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error in the 2023 Faraday Future FF 91 2.0 Alliance can keep the air bag malfunction warning light from turning on when the Airbag Control Unit detects a system fault. As a result, you may not be alerted that the air bags could fail to work properly.

A warning light that does not show an air bag problem can increase the risk of injury in a crash, because the airbags may not deploy as intended and you may not know to have the system checked. The manufacturer will fix this with an over-the-air iHUB software update, provided free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 27, 2024, and you can contact Faraday customer service at 1-800-228-7702 with questions. The repair is free at an authorized dealer, and you should also check your VIN for any open recalls.
