Volkswagen Jetta Recall 24V110: Fuel Pump Seal Can Leak Fuel, Raising Fire Risk

What this recall means for you

A seal on a suction jet pump inside the fuel tank can fail, allowing fuel to flow into the evaporative emissions (EVAP) system and possibly leak out of the charcoal canister. Fuel leaking in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

An authorized dealer will replace the suction pump at no cost to you. This recall expands and replaces an earlier recall (16V-647), and vehicles previously recalled under that campaign will need the new remedy completed. Owners can contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298 or Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834, and should reference Volkswagen campaign number 20UF or Audi campaign number 20YF.
