- Problem
- Foretravel, Inc. (Foretravel) is recalling certain 2023 Realm FS605 and Realm Presidential FS605P vehicles. The steering gear may have foreign material inside the gear that could build pressure within the system, resulting in a loss of power steering assist.
- Risk
- A sudden loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Foretravel will work with the chassis manufacturer, Shyft Group to replace the steering gears, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2024. Owners may contact Foretravel customer service at 1-800-955-6226.

What this recall means for you
Some 2023 Foretravel Realm motorhomes may have foreign material inside the steering gear. That material could build pressure in the steering system and cause a sudden loss of power steering assist.
A sudden loss of power steering makes the vehicle much harder to control, which can increase the risk of a crash. Owners should take the issue seriously and have the steering checked as soon as possible.
The steering gear will be replaced free of charge. Foretravel is working with chassis manufacturer Shyft Group on the repair. Owner notification letters were mailed March 12, 2024.
