Lucid Air Recall 24V076: Software glitch can cut drive power while cruise control is on

NHTSA campaign 24V076, reported February 7, 2024, 189 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022-2024 Lucid Air vehicles running software versions 2.1.2 through 2.1.26 may experience a fault in the adaptive cruise control system while it is on. The fault can cause a sudden loss of drive power.

A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash, since the vehicle may slow unexpectedly while you are driving.

Lucid released a free over-the-air software update in October 2023 that can be installed remotely. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed March 8, 2024. You can also contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
