Tiffin Allegro BAY Recall 24V062: Battery May Shift and Cause Electrical Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 24V062, reported February 1, 2024, 300 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022-2024 Allegro Bay motorhomes have standard house batteries that may shift position during travel. When this happens, the battery terminals can contact the steel hold-down bar.

If the terminals touch the steel bar, electrical arcing can occur, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and check whether their motorhome is affected.

The remedy is free. An authorized dealer will install a new battery hold-down bar and angle brackets at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 29, 2024. You can also contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661 (Tiffin recall number TIF-137), and you can check your VIN for open recalls.
