Coachmen Viking Recall 24V045: Missing Tail Light Bezel Can Reduce Trailer Visibility

NHTSA campaign 24V045, reported January 26, 2024, 18 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain travel trailers may have been built without the tail light bezel installed. The bezel is needed to meet federal lighting requirements, and without it the trailer's rear lights can be less visible to other drivers, which raises the risk of a crash.

If you own an affected trailer, a dealer will install the missing tail light bezel at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed on March 6, 2024. You can also contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-269-467-4600 and reference recall number 120-1729. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is included.
