Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX Recall 23V891: Spare Tire Carrier May Fail and Detach From Trailer

NHTSA campaign 23V891, reported December 22, 2023, 1,313 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain Micro Minnie FLX travel trailers from model years 2021 through 2023, the spare tire carrier may fail when it is loaded with a specific off-road style tire. The carrier can then detach from the trailer and fall onto the road.

A detached spare tire carrier becomes a road hazard for following and passing drivers, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners of affected trailers should stop using the spare carrier with that type of tire and contact an authorized Winnebago dealer or Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280, extension 5220, to schedule the free replacement of the spare tire carrier. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 19, 2024. You can also check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
