NHTSA campaign 23V824, reported December 7, 2023, 43 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The welder installed on a track system in certain aerial device trucks may be misaligned, so its mounting fasteners cannot be properly tightened. Over time, the loose fasteners can allow the welder to come off the vehicle.

If the welder detaches while driving, it can become a road hazard for other drivers and increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected 2021 to 2023 vehicles equipped with this welder should contact Altec Industries customer service at 1-877-462-5832 and reference recall number CSN 3133. Owner notification letters were mailed February 1, 2024.
