What this recall means for you
Certain 2024 Big Tex trailers are equipped with Goodride ST 200 tires that may develop bubbling in the sidewall. The sidewall can then separate, causing a loss of tire pressure. The trailers therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 119 for new pneumatic tires.
A loss of tire pressure increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected trailers should stop using the trailer if a tire shows signs of bubbling or damage, and have it inspected promptly.
Dealers will inspect the tires and replace them as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2024. For help, contact Big Tex Trailer customer service at 1-800-594-5637, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
