Autocar Legend Recall 23V736: Loose Wheel Lug Nuts Could Let Wheels Detach

NHTSA campaign 23V736, reported November 2, 2023, 104 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2023 heavy-duty trucks may have wheel lug nuts that were not tightened properly at the factory. Over time, this can allow a wheel to come loose from the vehicle.

If a wheel detaches while driving, it can cause a crash and increase the risk of injury to the driver and others on the road. Owners should not wait to have this checked.

Authorized Autocar dealers will inspect the lug nuts and tighten them as needed, at no cost to you. Owners who received a notification letter (mailed December 21, 2023) can also contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your truck is affected.
