- Problem
- Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River Bus) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Starcraft Allstar XL, 2022-2023 Allstar XLT, and 2022 Glaval Concorde II transit buses. The exterior-mounted air conditioning compressor may contact the optional stabilizer/sway bar, possibly causing mount failure and resulting in a loss of power or steering control.
- Risk
- A loss of power and/or steering control increases the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect the vehicles for the optional sway bar. If equipped, a new compressor mount will be installed. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 16, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River Bus Customer Service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River Bus number for this recall is 05-1695.

What this recall means for you
The air conditioning compressor, mounted on the outside of the bus, may contact the optional stabilizer (sway) bar. Over time this contact can cause the compressor mount to fail.
If the mount fails, the vehicle could lose power or steering control. Loss of power or steering control increases the risk of a crash.
An authorized dealer will inspect your bus for the optional sway bar. If it is equipped, the dealer will install a new compressor mount at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed November 16, 2023.
