Jeep Wagoneer Recall 23V716: Third-row seat belt may not fasten, raising crash injury risk

NHTSA campaign 23V716, reported October 26, 2023, 97,066 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs from the 2022 through 2024 model years have third-row seat belts that may not allow occupants to properly access or fasten the belt to its buckle. The vehicles also fail to meet federal safety standards for occupant crash protection and seat belt assemblies.

An unfastened seat belt can increase the risk of injury to occupants during a crash. Anyone seated in the third row should be especially careful to make sure the belt is securely latched.

The remedy is free at an authorized dealer, which will inspect and replace the third-row seat belt buckle as needed. Owners who received the notification letter mailed November 16, 2023 can contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number A7A). You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
