East TO West Tandara Recall 23V648: Rear Ladder May Detach, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 23V648, reported September 22, 2023, 46 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rear ladder on certain fifth wheel trailers may not be anchored properly to the rear wall. Over time, this can allow the ladder to come loose and detach from the vehicle, which increases the risk of injury.

If you own an affected unit, a dealer will install a new ladder that mounts to the roof, and the repair is free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed in October 2023. You can also contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-264-6664 and reference recall number 500-1678.
