Micro Bird G5 Transit Bus Recall 23V606: Bus Seats Over Fuel Filler May Detach in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 23V606, reported August 30, 2023, 6 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain transit buses have seats located over the fuel filler, equipped with seat belts, that may detach. Because of this, the vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210 for seat belt assembly anchorages.

A seat that detaches may not adequately restrain an occupant, which increases the risk of injury during a crash. If you own or operate an affected bus, contact an authorized dealer to have the seats repaired. The repair is free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 5, 2023.

You can also contact Micro Bird customer service at 1-819-477-2012, referencing recall number 23-103-PUC. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
