Coachmen Nova Recall 23V575: Shore Power Inlet Can Crack, Risking Electrical Fire

NHTSA campaign 23V575, reported August 14, 2023, 16 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The shore power inlet on certain motorhomes may have a manganese bronze D-ring that can crack or fail when it is over-tightened. If the D-ring cracks or fails, wires inside may loosen, which can cause electrical arcing and increase the risk of a fire.

If you own an affected motorhome, an authorized dealer will install a new smart plug at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in August 2023. You can also contact Forest River customer service at 574-825-6319 and reference recall number 225-1669. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls to confirm whether your motorhome is included.
