Autocar Legend Recall 23V571: Driveshaft Support Bolts May Loosen, Causing Power Loss

NHTSA campaign 23V571, reported August 10, 2023, 605 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The driveline center support bearing hardware on certain vehicles may not have been properly secured. If that hardware is not secure, the powertrain driveline can detach from the vehicle.

A detached driveline can cause a loss of drive power, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should not ignore this recall, since the defect affects whether the vehicle can keep moving and stay under control on the road.

The repair is free. An authorized dealer will inspect the driveline support bearing hardware and secure it or replace it as needed. Owners who received the notification letter mailed October 6, 2023 can contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611, and everyone should check their VIN for open recalls.
