- Risk
- A seat belt that fails to fasten or extend properly may not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

What this recall means for you
The automatic locking retractor on the front passenger-side seat belt may keep the belt from fastening or extending properly. The vehicle therefore does not fully meet federal safety standards for occupant crash protection and seat belt assemblies.
If the seat belt does not fasten or extend properly, it may not adequately restrain the front passenger in a crash, which increases the risk of injury.
Authorized dealers will inspect the front passenger-side seat belt and replace it if necessary, at no charge to the owner. Owners can also contact Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 (Hyundai recall number 015G). Owner notification letters were mailed September 14, 2023. Check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
