What this recall means for you
Certain upper B-pillar interior trim pieces may not be fully seated. If the trim is out of position, it can interfere with the side curtain airbag as it deploys, so the vehicle may not fully meet the federal ejection mitigation standard (FMVSS 226).
A side curtain airbag that does not deploy properly can offer less protection to occupants in a crash, which raises the risk of injury.
An authorized dealer will inspect the trim and reseat or replace the pieces as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed August 17, 2023. You can contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall 76A), and you should check your VIN for any open recalls.
