What this recall means for you
Certain 2022 and 2023 Lucid Air vehicles with software versions between 2.015 and 2.0.50 may experience a rearview camera image that fails to display. The vehicles therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111, which governs rear visibility.
Without the camera image on screen while the vehicle is in reverse, the driver has reduced visibility behind the vehicle. This increases the risk of injury or a crash.
Lucid has released an over-the-air software update that is free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2023. You can contact Lucid customer service at 1-888-995-8243, and you can check your VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website.
