Jaguar XE Recall 23V501: Rearview Camera May Not Display Image, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 23V501, reported July 20, 2023, 3,134 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Wiring damage in the trunk can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing on the display. Because of this, the vehicle does not meet the federal rear visibility standard, FMVSS 111.

Without a working camera image, the driver's view behind the vehicle is reduced, which increases the risk of a crash, especially when backing up.

Dealers will inspect and repair the rearview camera wiring harness as needed, free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed October 4, 2023 can contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827, referencing recall H445. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
