- Problem
- Titan Bus is recalling certain 2017-2021 SRW and DRW school and multi-function school activity buses. The warning label may be missing from the Cross View Mirror. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
- Risk
- Without a warning label the driver may rely on the mirror to see the location of other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Titan Bus mailed the warning labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2023. Owners may contact Titan Bus customer service at 1-419-523-3593.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2017 through 2020 Titan Bus school and multi-function school activity buses, in both single rear wheel and dual rear wheel configurations, may be missing the warning label on the cross view mirror. The label is required under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111 (Rear Visibility), so these buses do not meet that standard.
Without the label, a driver may rely on the cross view mirror to see the location of other vehicles when that mirror does not show them reliably, which increases the risk of a crash.
Titan Bus has agreed to mail replacement warning labels to owners at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 11, 2023. If you own one of these buses, contact Titan Bus customer service at 1-419-523-3593 to request the labels, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
