Boreas Camper XT Recall 23V473: Stove Burner Tubes Can Crack and Leak Gas, Creating Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 23V473, reported July 10, 2023, 100 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain SDS2 2-burner drop-in cooktops installed in these travel trailers have internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves. These tubes may fracture over time, which can allow gas to leak from the cooktop.

A gas leak combined with an ignition source, such as a burner flame or spark, can increase the risk of a fire. Owners should stop using the cooktop if they smell gas or suspect a leak, and seek help promptly.

The cooktop will be replaced free of charge at an authorized dealer. Owners who received notification letters mailed August 1, 2023, can contact Boreas Campers customer service at 1-720-515-3641. You can also check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
