Grand Design Momentum Recall 23V428: Incorrect Cargo Weight Label Could Lead to Overloading

NHTSA campaign 23V428, reported June 15, 2023, 24 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023 Grand Design Momentum toy haulers have an incorrect Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) label. The wrong weight information means the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 for tire selection and rims.

Because the label understates or misstates how much cargo the vehicle can safely carry, an owner could load it beyond its limit. Overloading raises the risk of a crash.

Dealers will remove and replace the label free of charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed July 10, 2023, can contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679 (recall number 910036). You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
