- Problem
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2023 East to West Della Terra and East to West Silver Lake travel trailers. The furnace may have been installed incorrectly, causing the cold air return to invert the cooktop flame and resulting in a gas leak inside the cabin.
- Risk
- A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
- Remedy
- Dealers will pull out the furnace as intended to allow for proper cold air return, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 16, 2023. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forest River's number for this recall is 500-1644.

What this recall means for you
The furnace in certain 2023 travel trailers may have been installed incorrectly. The cold air return can cause the cooktop flame to invert, which may lead to a gas leak inside the cabin.

If you own an affected trailer, stop using the furnace and cooktop until the repair is made, and contact an authorized dealer to have the furnace pulled out and reinstalled so the cold air return works as intended.
