Grand Design Transcend Recall 23V364: Trailer Missing Emergency Exit Window; Escape Delayed in Crisis

NHTSA campaign 23V364, reported May 24, 2023, 232 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023 Grand Design Transcend travel trailers were built without an emergency exit window in the main living area. This means the trailer lacks one of the escape routes it should have.

Without that window, occupants could have difficulty or be delayed in getting out during an emergency such as a fire or other event requiring rapid evacuation, which raises the risk of injury.

If you own a 2023 Transcend, check whether your trailer's VIN is covered by this recall. An authorized Grand Design dealer will install an emergency exit window at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed June 12, 2023, and you can also contact Grand Design customer service at 1-574-825-9679 about recall 910035.
