Mack LR Recall 23V310: Horn May Not Work, Reducing Warning to Other Drivers

NHTSA campaign 23V310, reported May 2, 2023, 5 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The horn circuit is missing on certain vehicles, so pressing the horn button does not sound the horn. The horn is inoperative, which means the driver cannot alert other road users to the truck's presence.

Without a working horn, other drivers and pedestrians may not be warned in time, which increases the risk of a crash.

An authorized dealer will add the missing circuit connecting the horn button to the horn at no cost to the owner. Owners who have questions can contact Mack customer service at 1-800-866-1177 and reference recall number SC443. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
