Lordstown Endurance Recall 23V304: Instrument Display May Freeze at Startup, Hiding Speed and Warnings

NHTSA campaign 23V304, reported April 27, 2023, 5 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2023 Lordstown Endurance vehicles, the instrument cluster display screen may freeze when the vehicle is first started. When this happens, critical safety information such as the speedometer and warning lights may not be shown to the driver.

Losing these displays can increase the risk of a crash, because the driver may not see how fast they are going or be alerted to a problem with the vehicle. Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected and have it repaired as soon as possible.

The remedy is a free software update performed by an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed May 18, 2023. You can also contact Lordstown customer service at 1-248-522-9100, and check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
