What this recall means for you
Some 2022 Indian Chief motorcycles may be missing a belt guard reflector. Without it, the motorcycle is less visible to other drivers, which can raise the risk of a crash. The motorcycles also do not meet the federal lighting and reflective equipment standard, FMVSS 108.
According to the recall notice, all affected vehicles have already been remedied. If you own one of these motorcycles and want to confirm the fix or ask questions, you can contact Indian customer service at 1-877-204-3697 and reference recall number I-23-05. You can also check your motorcycle's VIN for open recalls.
If you have any doubt about whether your motorcycle has the belt guard reflector, have an authorized Indian dealer inspect it. The repair is free at an authorized dealer.
