What this recall means for you
The federal certification label on certain 2023 fifth wheel trailers may list incorrect tire information. The label does not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120, which covers wheels and rims for vehicles other than passenger cars.
Because the tire size shown on the label may be wrong, an incorrectly sized tire could be installed on the trailer. This increases the risk of a crash.
Heartland Recreational Vehicles will mail replacement certification labels to owners at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed May 31, 2023. To request a replacement label or ask questions, call Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032. The repair is free at an authorized dealer, and you can check your VIN for any open recalls on the NHTSA website.
