Winnebago Micro Minnie Recall 23V270: Spare tire carrier can fail and detach from trailer

NHTSA campaign 23V270, reported April 14, 2023, 10,492 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The spare tire carrier on certain Micro Minnie travel trailers may fail when it is loaded with a particular off-road style tire. The carrier can then come loose from the trailer.

If the carrier detaches while driving, it can become a road hazard for other drivers and increase the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this risk, especially if they use an off-road style spare tire.

The repair is free. Authorized Winnebago dealers will replace the spare tire carrier at no cost. Owners who received a notification letter can contact Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280 ext. 5220 for more information. You can also check your VIN for open recalls on the NHTSA website.
