Forest River Pause Recall 23V202: Pinched Brake Wire Could Cause Trailer Brakes to Fail

NHTSA campaign 23V202, reported March 24, 2023, 19 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2023 Forest River Pause travel trailers have a brake wire that was routed incorrectly through the suspension. Over time, the wire can become pinched, which may cause the trailer's brakes to fail.

Brake failure on a travel trailer raises the risk of a crash, especially when towing or stopping on grades. If you own a 2023 Pause travel trailer, check whether it is included in this recall, and stop towing it until the wiring has been inspected if you have concerns.

The repair is free. An authorized dealer will inspect the brake wire and rewire or reroute it as needed. Owners who received notification letters mailed April 3, 2023 can contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-574-327-2681 and reference recall number 426-1615.
