Infiniti QX50 Recall 23V187: Front passenger door may not lock, risking opening in a crash

NHTSA campaign 23V187, reported March 20, 2023, 48 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The front right-side passenger door lock on certain 2022 and 2023 Infiniti vehicles may have been fitted with an incorrect door latch. As a result, the front right-side door may not lock automatically.

An unlocked door can unlatch and open during a crash, which increases the risk of injury to occupants. Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected and have it inspected.

Authorized dealers will replace the front right-side passenger door lock assembly at no cost. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 14, 2023, or you can contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 (recall PC962). You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
