What this recall means for you
This recall covers certain 2021-2023 Hyundai Palisade vehicles. Snow or ice can build up on the windshield and cause the windshield wiper motor to operate intermittently or stop working altogether, leaving the wipers inoperative.
When the wipers fail, the driver's view through the windshield can be significantly reduced, which increases the risk of a crash, especially in winter weather.
If you own an affected Palisade, check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls and contact an authorized Hyundai dealer. The dealer will replace the driver-side windshield wiper arm free of charge. Owners can also call Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460 and reference recall number 243, which expands recall 22V-627. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2023.
