Newell P50 Recall 23V147: Brake lights may not light unless pedal fully pressed

NHTSA campaign 23V147, reported March 6, 2023, 28 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2023 and 2024 Newell P50 motor coaches, the brake lights may fail to illuminate unless the brake pedal is pressed all the way down. The brake light switch is the problem.

If the brake lights do not come on when the vehicle is slowing, drivers behind it may not realize it is stopping or slowing. That reduces the coach's visibility and increases the risk of a crash.

Newell will rewire the brake switch at no charge. Owners can contact Newell customer service at 1-888-363-9355. Owner notification letters were mailed March 14, 2023. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
