XOS RM01 Recall 23V145: Loose Driveshaft Bolts Can Cause Loss of Drive Power

NHTSA campaign 23V145, reported March 3, 2023, 275 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some XOS electric vehicles may have driveshaft bolts that were not tightened correctly during assembly. The bolts connect the electronic parking brake rotor to the driveshaft. Over time, loose bolts could allow the driveshaft to separate from the vehicle.

If the driveshaft separates, the vehicle can lose drive power, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners of affected 2021 RM01, 2021 SA01, and 2021-2022 SV05 vehicles should take this recall seriously.

Authorized dealers will replace the bolts and related hardware at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 19, 2023. You can contact XOS customer service at 1-818-316-1890 and reference recall REC 002-23, or check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
