Lordstown Endurance Recall 23V144: Parking Brake May Wear Out and Fail, Allowing Rollaway

NHTSA campaign 23V144, reported March 3, 2023, 7 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023 Lordstown Endurance vehicles have electric parking brake caliper washers that can wear prematurely. This reduces the clamping force of the parking brake.

A parking brake with weakened clamping performance can fail to hold the vehicle in place, allowing it to roll away and increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the electric parking brake free of charge. Owners who have not yet received a notice can contact Lordstown customer service at 1-248-522-9100 and reference recall R-0002. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
